To
register for the 2026 Westchester MS Walk as a
member of the Hot Flashes team:
For Hot Flashes team members in previous years:
If you have done the MS Walk
before as a member of the Hot Flashes team, I can ask the MS Society
staff to re-register you. Just E-mail Meand let me know which members of your family will be participating(the
MS Society requests that everyone who comes
to the MS Walk be registered, including children and babies). Let me
know if any of your contact information (mailing address, email
addresses, phone numbers) has changed from what they will have in their
records from the past. And if you haven't gotten confirmation of your
registrtion in a few weeks, please E-mail Meagain so I can folloew-up on it.
To register yourself online:
Click on the link in the box; this will open up the
Hot Flashes team page for the Westchester MS Walk in a separate window so you can toggle back
and forth between that one and this window as you follow the
instructions below.
(Note: The Rockland MS Walk has been merged with the Westchester MS
Walk; there will not be a separate Rockland MS Walk in 2026.)
Click on the black "Join Our Team" button, underneath the red flames graphic from the team T-shirt and the team name.
If you have done an MS Walk before, login to your existing account (note: the MS Walk system nowuses an
e-mail address rather than a username to log on).If you don't already have an account, please create one, and write down the password for later use.
On the next screen, pick
"Walker" or "Virtual Participant". If you pick "Walker" and
decide not to come to the actual walk at the last minute, you can still be a Virtual
Participant.
The
"Role" should be "Join a Team" (as opposed to an "Individual" walker
not on a team) and the "Team" selection should be already set to "Hot Flashes". After you have confirmed this, scroll down and click on the "Continue To Next Step" button.
On the next screen, choose a
personal
fundraising goal (note: this is a target, not a mandatory amount).
Indicate whether you want to make a
donation
(online, with a credit card or PayPal) during the registration process.
This is optional, but it would be wonderful if you would do so.
Enter
or confirm the rest of your
Registration Details; make changes as necessary.
You have to check the acknowledgement about the MS Society Event Release and Waiver of Liability.
You now have the option to register one or more
children if you want (the MS Society requests that everyone who comes
to the MS Walk be registered, including children and babies).
Click on "Continue to Confirmation". Review your registration details on the next screen and correct any errors.
If you're making a contribution, select the payment method and enter the necessary information.
When you have completed the registration process, you will see a pop-up window thanking you for registering.
This would be a good time to customize your Personal Page. The
system sets one up for you, but it would be good if you can personalize
it.
Use the "Your Page" link at the top left of the web page. There
are a lot of options here; please explore them.
If you want to get back to your Participant Center at a later
time, please go to the Other Links section
of this web site and click on the link for the Hot Flashes Team
Page. If you're still signed in, you'll see your
name at the top right of the page. If not, click on the "LOGIN" button at the top right and sign in.
Once you've completed the process, please E-mail Meand let me know that you have
registered, so
that I can verify that you show up on my team roster.
After you've registered:
Start raising money to fight MS.
You can click on the link in this sentence to download a copy of the Donation Record Form to keep track of what you raised, if you wish (you don't have to use this form, however).
Click on the link in this sentence to download a PDF copy of a Flyer for Posting. Please print out flyers and post or distribute them to help build the team.
